Throughout that day, Sehrish felt a strange, indescribable sensation in her body. It was a combination of contentment but also overwhelming fatigue. Aunty Azmee informed her that she had no work today, advising her to rest since it was her day off. Sehrish wandered around the house, her mind occupied with various thoughts about Husanna and Jahad. She also felt a strange unease in her heart, as if she sensed something concerning their eldest brother before even seeing him.

Azmee entered Sehrish's room, stepping into the bedroom with dinner in hand. Sehrish felt grateful and warmth filled her heart, further deepening her affection for Azmee. She cared for her like her own child, constantly showing concern. What a wonderful woman, Sehrish thought.

Sehrish gazed at the plate full of meatballs placed on the bedside drawer. There_was also a_glass_of_fresh_milk. She stared at the food in silence, feeling drained. The aroma filled the room, but she couldn't shake the guilt she felt toward her siblings. While she ate delicious meals, they were in difficult circumstances.

Sitting on her bed, Sehrish folded her legs beneath her, lost in thought. Aunty Azmee opened the door again and entered, holding a small plate of fresh fruits.

"What's wrong? You haven't started eating yet? What are you waiting for?" Aunty Azmee asked.

Sehrish sighed deeply before replying, "Aunty Azmee, I don’t feel right, especially when I think about my siblings. I end_up_not_wanting to_eat_anything."

Azmee showed concern and sat beside her on the bed, calmly saying, "Do you have faith in Allah?" Sehrish nodded, replying, "Yes."

"I want you, whenever you make prayers, to do so with full faith. Believe that the prayer you made has been accepted by Allah. Never doubt that, because a lack of faith prevents us from receiving blessings. But if you pray with conviction, knowing Allah has accepted it, without questioning whether He really has or wondering why you don't see results immediately, don't worry. Just be confident that every time you make a prayer, Allah hears it, and, insha Allah, you will see positive results and find peace in your heart."

Sehrish nodded and said, "Thank you, Aunty Azmee. Insha Allah, I will do as you say."

Azmee smiled and said, "Good, my dear Rishi. Now, give me a smile to lighten my heart," she teased, watching her closely.

Sehrish lowered her head, smiling softly, and Azmee smiled back. Azmee then picked up a slice of cucumber from the plate and brought it to Sehrish’s mouth, saying, "Open your mouth and eat!"

Sehrish giggled and opened her mouth, letting Azmee feed her the cucumber. She chewed, savoring the taste, even licking her lips a little. Azmee laughed, saying, "Good! Now that’s what I like to see. Let me feed you the meatballs next."

Quickly, Sehrish responded, "No, Aunty Azmee, I’ll eat now. You’ve worked so hard, and I didn’t even help."

Azmee replied, "Don’t worry, Sehrish. I told you to rest, especially since Chef Ummu was around to handle everything. But I hope you haven’t been thinking about your elder brother today?"

Azmee finished with a playful smile. Sehrish lowered her head again, smiling bashfully at the mention of the name that stirred feelings in her heart.

"So, no answer?" Azmee asked with a laugh. "I’ll leave now. Don’t forget, tonight, make your voluntary prayers and pray for your siblings and all the Muslims around the world."

"Insha_Allah, Aunty_Azmee, thank_you_very much."

Azmee stood up and left the room. Truly, Sehrish felt peace in her heart. Azmee knew just the right words to say, words that were gentle and touched the soul. Sehrish sat quietly, nibbling on the fruits in front of her, enjoying their sweetness. After finishing the fruits, she picked up the meatballs and began eating them, savoring the spicy flavor. From time to time, she sipped the cool milk from the glass, feeling content.

AUNTY BABBA...

She was sitting next to Amani because they hadn't left yet, waiting for their eldest brother to arrive. Even though Amani was still in the city, Abbas had allowed her to stay the night since their aunt was also around. Insha Allah, by tomorrow she would return home.

Both of them were dressed in comfortable sleepwear, wearing matching tops and pants. Their hair was let loose, blessed with beautiful, long locks.

"I'm listening, my dear aunt," Amani said, looking at her aunt beside her on the bed.

"We need to make special preparations to succeed against these two fiery individuals. It’s not hard to win them over, but we must involve powerful sorcerers, like that one from the dense forest in Enugu," Aunty Babba said.

Amani widened her eyes and exclaimed, "Aunty, did you say Enugu? That’s a really difficult task, honestly."

Aunty Babba laughed and said, "Not for me. When it comes to achieving my goals, there’s nothing I can’t do. Hmm, you still don’t know who your sister Laila is, do you?"

Amani lowered her head, feeling uneasy as she looked at Aunty Babba with growing concern. The situation was starting to scare her. "Aunty, when will you go to Enugu?" she asked.

With confidence, Aunty Babba replied, "I don’t rush things. We’ll succeed slowly but surely. But first, we need a lot of money. Approaching this sorcerer isn’t easy. We need to pool our resources. You get some money from Abbas, and I’ll get some from Ishaq. Then we’ll plan the journey."

Amani fell silent, feeling drained. With a tone of resignation, she said, "Aunty, I’m really scared, to be honest."

Mtswww! Aunty Babba scoffed and said, "Forget about fear! You don’t even know what I foresee for us. Once we conquer their eldest brother and Marshal Omar, we’ll control this entire family however we like." She finished her words while looking at Amani, who sat wide-eyed.

Amani sighed and was about to speak when her phone, resting on the pillow, started ringing. She quickly checked the caller ID, and it read "My Baby." "Is it Abbas?" Aunty Babba asked. Amani nodded, "Yes, it’s him."

"Good, pick it up. Lower your voice and speak sweetly to him. Let’s secure the money we need."

Amani responded, "Okay," as she answered the call and placed it to her ear, saying, "My baby, how are you? I’ve missed you so much."

She listened to Abbas’s voice saying, "I can’t sleep. I just came out of the shower, and the only thing I want to hear is your voice."

Amani smiled as she glanced at Aunty Babba, who was watching her intently. In a soft tone, she replied, "Same here, my baby. I was just thinking about you."

"Are you serious? Let’s have a video call. I want to see you in that lovely sleeping dress of yours," Abbas said.

Amani looked at Aunty Babba, waiting for her approval, as the phone was on speaker. Aunty Babba gave her a nod to proceed.

"Yes, my baby, I’m ready. I’m really eager to see you too," Amani said.

Aunty Babba smiled and got up to leave the room, feeling confident that her plans would soon come to fruition.

It was late at night, and Junaid was in their father’s room, disturbing Abba, not allowing him to rest. He insisted on staying with him because, after all, he was the youngest. They were lying together on his king-sized bed, Junaid draping his leg over Abba, causing mischief.

"Junaid, please let me rest. Go to your bedroom or stay with your brothers tonight," Abba said, feeling sleepy.

In a whining tone, Junaid replied, "I prefer sleeping here with you, Abba. But if you want me to stop, then you’ll have to bring back our mom."

Annoyed, Abba responded, "Don’t let me hear you mention her name again."

Teasingly, Junaid said, "But Abba, you said you love her. No one forced you. Because of how much you loved her, even Ammi and the others didn’t know when you went all the way to America to marry her. Wasn’t it because you saw a beautiful, tall, fair woman with long hair?"

Abba grabbed a pillow, muttering "Bismillah," and started playfully hitting Junaid with it. It had become their routine; Abba treated him like a peer, and he enjoyed it.

Pretending to cry, Junaid said, "Abba, stop, please. I’m telling the truth! Wallahi, our mom is beautiful, and that’s what made you fall for her."

Surprised, Abba said, "Junaid, could it be that because we share the same bed, you’ve started taking me lightly?"

They both laughed. No matter how much Abba wanted Junaid to stop bringing up Alexandra, he refused. Eventually, sleep overtook them both.
